Acupuncture involves inserting thin needles into specific points to stimulate energy flow (Qi) and support overall health.
Scope of Practice: Registered Acupuncturists assess patients based on TCM principles, diagnose imbalances, and create treatment plans using acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, and herbal recommendations. They address various health concerns, including pain management, digestive issues, stress, hormonal imbalances, and overall wellness.
Benefits: Acupuncture helps reduce pain, improve circulation, alleviate stress, and enhance overall well-being. It supports the bodyโs natural healing processes, improves sleep, boosts immunity, and can aid in managing conditions like headaches, anxiety, fertility issues, and chronic pain.

Physiotherapy
โ
Benefits of Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy helps reduce pain, restore movement, and improve function without relying on medication. It plays a key role in recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions such as arthritis or back pain. Through manual therapy, targeted exercises, and education, physiotherapy promotes healing, prevents future injuries, and supports overall mobility and strength. Itโs also widely used for sports performance optimization and injury prevention, making it valuable for both active individuals and those managing long-term conditions.
โ
Scope of Practice
Physiotherapists are primary healthcare professionals who assess, diagnose, and treat movement disorders. Their practice includes manual therapy, exercise prescription, and techniques like acupuncture or electrotherapy. They address issues from musculoskeletal pain to neurological and cardiorespiratory conditions, helping patients return to daily activities safely and effectively. Beyond treatment, physiotherapists provide education on posture, ergonomics, and injury prevention, supporting long-term health and well-being.
Registered Massage Therapy
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is a licensed healthcare professional trained in assessing and treating soft tissues and joints using various hands-on techniques to relieve pain, improve mobility, and promote overall wellness.
Scope of Practice: RMTs provide therapeutic massage treatments to address musculoskeletal conditions, injury rehabilitation, stress management, and chronic pain. They use techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and lymphatic drainage, often working in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in clinical, rehabilitative, and wellness settings.
Benefits: RMT treatments help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, enhance flexibility, and relieve pain. Massage therapy supports relaxation, lowers stress levels, aids in injury recovery, and can improve sleep quality and overall physical and mental well-being.

They work in various settings, including rehabilitation clinics, fitness centers, workplaces, and healthcare facilities, collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Benefits: Kinesiology helps improve mobility, strength, and endurance, reduces the risk of injuries, and supports rehabilitation from musculoskeletal issues. It also enhances posture, balance, and overall physical performance while promoting long-term health through active living and injury prevention.

NDs are trained to diagnose and treat both acute and chronic conditions, offer individualized nutrition and lifestyle guidance, and prescribe natural supplements and botanical medicines. They also administer advanced treatments such as IV therapy, vitamin and nutrient injections, trigger point injections for muscle pain, and MIC (Methionine, Inositol, Choline) injections to support metabolism and weight management. In certain jurisdictions, NDs may also prescribe medications and perform minor procedures.
Naturopathic medicine offers benefits like preventative care, drug-free treatment options, and targeted therapies that help address fatigue, stress, pain, immune issues, and metabolic health.
